Additional Fees:
Application fees are required to activate your enrollment status. The maximum application fee per family is $200.
There is a $50 enrollment fee per student to complete the admissions process.
Each student is required to pay a fee that is applied towards books throughout the entire school term. This fee does not entitle students to ownership of all textbooks. Readers and hardbound textbooks are issued on a rental basis and will be returned to the school. If these books are not returned in proper condition or misplaced, a replacement fee will be added to the student account.
Students in grades 6-12 utilize Chromebooks as part of our technology emphasis in the classroom. Chromebooks need to be purchased by the parent before school starts. Student accounts will be billed yearly for the management application totaling $50.
Students are required to wear the ACS gym uniform during their physical education class. Orders are to be placed through the online apparel site. (information available in student packets). Students are encouraged to reuse previous years uniforms as a cost savings. This fee only applies to students in grades 5-12 who are enrolled in P.E.
Optional Costs:
Each year ACS coordinates with outside instructors to offer a variety of specialized classes in varying interests for students. Our yearly classes may include gymnastics, sign language, guitar. As student interest and instructors are available we have offered: photography, dance, videography, art, and more.
Charges are issued for team sports to help cover the cost of uniforms, game fees, transportation, and gym access. These fees range between $60 to $100 depending upon the sport. We offer three sports seasons: fall, winter, and spring.
Van carpooling is available. We charge a weekly fee of $20 for the first child and $5 extra for each additional child to reserve a spot for the year. Meeting locations are offered in Afton and Crozet for the morning and afternoon commute.
Extended care is available for students from K5-5th grade. Students transition directly into after school care at 3:15 PM. Pick-up by 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday. We have a limited number of spaces available. The fee is $35/individual and $50/family per week.
Junior and Senior students who are eligible to take online college courses will make payment directly to the Academic Institution. The additional cost is based on the credit hour fees charged by the selected college.
How to pay?
The monthly fee schedule begins August 1, 2024 and runs through July 1, 2025. Payments are accepted through online credit card processing and automatic bank transfer. Families may also pay through traditional methods of cash and check in the office.
Need help?
A yearly financial aid process is available through the FACTS Management Company, (FACTS) application process. The FACTS application fee is paid directly to the agency. Families must reapply every year. Submitting an application does not guarantee approval of financial assistance. All allocations are based upon available financial aid funding and financial need.
